Inspired by my best friend’s rainbow cake, I made these cookies for my son’s end of the year carnival tomorrow. I am vowing however, to make the cake too just as soon as I remember to pick up white cake mix at the store. I also couldn’t resist including some pictures of my little beauty enjoying some samples.

My daughter shares my feelings about mornings, it’s not our thing.
I shot this today, on Mother’s day as she crawled into my bed.
And why was my camera by my bedside you might ask….
My kid’s/Hubby got me a battery grip for my mother’s day gift. There will be no more straining to take vertical pics with my arm awkwardly contorted over my head. The battery grip has a additional shutter release button and control wheels on the side, so it is easier to access when in the portrait position. They can never wait to give gifts, they love to do it the minute they wake me up!
Honestly, I love it too 
In True Beauty fashion, when she is on she is on. As her dance teacher put it “She definitely has a personality, when focused she does a fantastic job” That is code for she does what she wants when she wants. Some might say she is strong willed, I like to think of her as determined!
Here is my little Beauty after 3 separate Easter celebrations on Sunday. I think this picture of her in the car exemplifies how we all felt after another marathon holiday ….. sometimes it’s a little too much of a good thing. Notice even in her sleep she still clutches her Easter basket full of loot.
My little Beauty got her hair cut. After many battles over brushing and styling, we decided to have it cut to a more manageable length. She looks so sweet, it really compliments her beautiful face.
She is so proud of it and says it feels so soft!

Beauty has decided that bedtime is now optional. Lately every night we have gone through the ritual …..brushing teeth, reading books, and cuddles…… to only moments later to see her downstairs again with a sweet little grin looking like a little angel with her soft pj’s on.
My husband can’t resist this daddy’s girl. She climbs up on his lap and quietly falls asleep in his arms, after all she is tired. She is just fighting it.
I know we should stick to our guns and make her go to her room like her big brother, but there is something sort of special about this quiet time between Beauty and her daddy.
We took the kids up to the mountains to enjoy some winter sports with some friends.
My little Indy loved it, he is a snowboarder just like his dad. He even tries to jump things on the flat bunny slope.
Beauty, not so much. She complained about the cold, and wanted to head for the lodge.
She did like to ride the magic carpet without ski’s or snowboard.She was lucky the lift operator thought she was cute and let her ride a few dozen times anyway.
